Compressed data means more available space.
The critical data backup client uses compression technology to reduce the amount of storage required on the server and to speed up the rate of transfer so as to reduce the time required to complete either a backup or restore. The amount of compression varies depending on the file type.
Remember, critical data compresses AND encrypts your data BEFORE it leaves your system. As a result, you will be able to store several times more actual data in your 'virtual vault' than the amount of physical space provided for in your subscription of our service.
The compressed data stored will usually represent an actual backup set somewhere between 2x and 6x the amount of compressed data residing in your secure area of our offsite facility. For example: a client with 750MB of encrypted and compressed data stored on critical data servers could represent anywhere between 1.5GB and 4.5GB of actual files, faxes, letters, databases, images and emails.
Double data storage for a single price.
The amount of space you pay for actually represents only half of the space you in reality have allocated to the secure storage of your valuable data. We keep a total of two copies of your data in two locations. One copy is the data you transmit whenever you schedule the client to perform a backup. The other is an offline copy we hold as a backup of the online system.
