criticaldata will never willfully disclose any identifiable data a customer has stored with us. Only you hold the encryption key.
Your Email address is required in order to register for the online backup software. And to receive Verification/Error notifications after each Backup Job.
Under NO circumstances will we sell your email address to any third party for unsolicited email communications.
We may however use your email address to contact you from time to time to advise you of special offers and/or promotions being run by criticaldata, or to advise you of any problems or issues which may arise with respect to your account with us.
We will NOT bombard you with unwanted spam.
4. Use of cookies
A cookie is a piece of text that a Web server can store on a user's hard drive. Cookies allow a Web site to store information on a user's (your) machine and retrieve it at a later date. Cookies provide capabilities that can make the Web much quicker to navigate and provide a better user experience.
criticaldata uses cookies for signing-up and/or online sessions to our Online Backup Manager and to provide you with specialised offers or pricing. All criticaldata cookies expire within 3 months.
5. General Security
Should we at any time require confidential information from you, such as your credit card number, you will be redirected to a secure area within our website. Any communications between your computer and our servers will then be enrypted using SSL, in order to prevent third parties from eavesdropping. Should you prefer not to provide such information to us over the Internet, you can fax your details to us. Your personal information such as name, address, email address, and telephone numbers, is part of the ordering process and, therefore, is transmitted only in encrypted form.
